Physical Education

At St. Monica’s, Physical Education is one of the specialist programs. Children in Foundation – Year 6 participate in a sequential program developing fundamental knowledge and skills of body movement through participation in the areas of motor skills, ball skills, athletics, gymnastics, aquatics, fitness, games skills and Sport Education.

All children from Foundation – Year 6 have a 40-minute specialist lesson each week. This is followed up with additional sport sessions organised by the classroom teacher. Students in Year 6 also participate in the local SSV competition, in sports, such as, but not limited to: tee-ball, basketball, netball, AFL and soccer.

House Events are a highly anticipated part of the annual school calendar and include:

Years 4 – Year 6:                 House Cross Country
